Remote Pilot Lab — FAA Part 107 study app
Effective date: July 22, 2026 · Last updated: July 22, 2026
Remote Pilot Lab (“the app”, “we”, “us”) is published by Kestrel Drone Services, a DBA of TOJA Ventures LLC. We designed the app to respect your privacy: it has no account or login, shows no ads, and includes no third-party analytics or tracking. This policy explains what the app does and does not do with information.
As you study, the app records your progress locally; per-question history, mastery estimates, and practice-test results, along with your settings (theme, study options). This information is stored only in the app’s private storage on your device. We cannot see it.
If you have Android Backup enabled, Android may include this app data in your device’s backup to your Google account so it can be restored when you reinstall. That backup is handled by Google under Google’s Privacy Policy, not by us.
To keep questions current with regulations, the app can download an updated question bank and optional question packs. These are simple requests for content files. The app does not send us your identity, your progress, or any personal data.
As with any website, our hosting provider may automatically log standard technical request information (such as IP address, timestamp, and the file requested) for security and operational purposes. We do not use this information to identify you or build a profile, and we do not combine it with anything from inside the app.
The app requests a single permission: Internet access, used only to fetch content updates and packs described above. It does not access your location, contacts, camera, microphone, files, or other sensitive data.
If paid question packs are offered, purchases are processed by Google Play. Google handles the transaction and your payment details; we never receive or store your payment card information. Your entitlement to purchased content is managed through your Google account.
The app is a general-audience study tool and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Because your data lives on your device, you are in control of it. You can clear all study progress at any time from Settings → Reset progress, and uninstalling the app removes its local data from your device. If Android backup stored a copy, you can manage or delete it through your Google account backup settings.
We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with a new “Last updated” date.
